Exploring the Impact of ERASMUS+ Projects

“ERASMUS+ Information Sessions” in Turkmenistan’s Higher Education Institutions

As of the beginning of 2025, higher education institutions in Turkmenistan have been hosting “ERASMUS+ Information Sessions,” bringing together participants from various projects under the European Union program. These sessions offer a platform to learn about the events and conditions of the ERASMUS+ competition for 2025, as well as the outcomes of ongoing and completed projects. This update comes from centralasia.net.

Currently, Turkmenistan is successfully implementing four projects under the European Higher Education Capacity Building Program, which focus on various aspects of education and development. These projects include:

HWCA – “Modernization of existing or development of new curricula on water resources management and water diplomacy.”
CircuIEC – “Development of innovative curricula and modules in the field of circular economy and sustainable development.”
GDCAU – “Green skills and sustainable development for Central Asian universities.”
ESGCA – “Environment, society and governance: ESG principles in universities and the labor market in Central Asia.”

Participants in the information sessions have shared their achievements and successful experiences within the ERASMUS+ projects.

The ERASMUS+ Program for 2021-2027 aims to enhance the education system, provide professional training for specialists in various sectors of the economy, promote social integration, encourage the active participation of young individuals in society, and facilitate the transition to green and digital technologies.

The program is overseen by the European Education, Culture, and Audiovisual Executive Agency (EACEA), with support from the National ERASMUS+ Office in Turkmenistan to disseminate information about the opportunities available under the program.

The “ERASMUS+ Information Sessions” serve as a valuable platform for exchange and collaboration, fostering innovation and progress in Turkmenistan’s higher education sector.
