Fahrettin Altun Meets with Syrian Minister of Information
Turkey and Syria Discuss Media Cooperation and Fight Against Disinformation
Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun recently met with Muhammed Yakub El-Ömer, Minister of Information of the new government in Syria, to discuss cooperation in the field of media and communication. The meeting also touched upon the importance of fighting against disinformation and black propaganda.
Altun emphasized the significance of accurately conveying the true views of the Syrian people to the international public. He stressed the need to act strongly against disinformation and systematic lies, and expressed readiness to provide support in combating these issues.
In order to solidify cooperation in the field of communication, Altun mentioned the possibility of a technical expert delegation visiting Syria. Minister Muhammed Yakub El-Ömer expressed gratitude for Turkey’s support and stated that they will continue to work closely with Turkey in the field of communication.
El-Ömer extended an invitation to Altun to visit Syria and work together on enhancing media and communication efforts. The collaboration between Turkey and Syria in these areas promises to strengthen ties and improve information exchange between the two countries.
