“Farm Robbery: Guards Tied Up in Heist”

Seven robbers targeted two farmhouses belonging to the same person in Adana’s Yüreğir district, stealing millions of lira worth of goods on Friday. The suspects were caught and arrested by the police. The group of robbers crawled into one of the properties and neutralized the guards with sticks and guns in their hands. They then seized a diesel tank, tractor, and mobile phones before heading to the other farm, where they took 5 tons of pesticides, 1 tractor, and spraying tools.
The farmer became aware of the situation when arriving at his property. The farm owner saw that the guards were blindfolded and handcuffed, so he contacted the police. The Extortion Bureau teams watched the security footage and caught the fleeing suspects in a short time.
It was later discovered that the suspects had records of 120 crimes, including attempted murder, shooting at homes, throwing bombs at the workplace, wounding, extortion, and looting. Three of the suspects were arrested and transferred to the courthouse, while the other suspects were released under judicial control.
These incidents are unfortunately becoming increasingly common in Turkey’s rural areas, prompting increased security measures for farmers and rural property owners.
