A serviceman of the Interior Troops has been involved in a tragic accident resulting in the death of two pedestrians, as confirmed by the Department of Internal Affairs of Chui region to 24.kg news agency.
The incident occurred on Wednesday at approximately 10 p.m. The driver of a Mercedes vehicle, who is believed to have been intoxicated, struck and killed the pedestrians in Maevka village, Alamedin district. The victims were subsequently pronounced dead at the hospital.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. The authorities have forwarded the case to the Military Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
The identities of the victims and the serviceman involved have not been disclosed at this time.
