
Fatal Argument over Football Claims Man’s Life

A man was tragically killed in a violent dispute with his friend over a football match, according to a recent report. The incident took place in Burhaniye Neighborhood Çoban at 8:30 pm yesterday.
The victim, Emrullah Çetin, was at a Tekel buffet when his friend Hakan M. arrived. The two friends got into a heated argument over the Galatasaray-Adana Demirspor match, with Hakan M. allegedly accusing Emrullah of supporting the wrong team. The argument escalated, leading to Hakan M. shooting Emrullah Çetin with a pistol.
Authorities were alerted to the scene and rushed to respond. While the suspect managed to flee, he was injured by the buffet owner in the chaos. Family members of the victim also arrived at the scene, only to be forcibly removed from the ambulance by police officers.
Tragically, Emrullah Çetin could not be saved and succumbed to his injuries at Atatürk State Hospital. Meanwhile, Hakan M. was apprehended by authorities and taken into custody for further investigation.
In his statement to the police, Hakan M. claimed that the incident was spurred by alcohol and the tension of the football debate. The police have launched a thorough investigation into the matter to determine the full circumstances of the tragic event.
