Minister Uraloğlu’s Diplomatic Mission in Geneva
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu recently attended the United Nations European Economic Commission (UN ECE) Internal Transportation Committee 87th Session and World Economic Forum meetings in Geneva.
During his visit, Uraloglu emphasized the importance of Turkey’s participation in these international meetings and stated that they had productive discussions with various representatives. He also highlighted the significance of Turkey’s work within the UN framework.
In particular, Uraloglu mentioned meeting with Turkey’s Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva, Ambassador Burak Akçapar. He emphasized the importance of discussions on Turkey’s work within the UN and current diplomatic issues.
“We had a fruitful meeting with Ambassador Akçapar to discuss Turkey’s role in the UN and ongoing diplomatic efforts,” Uraloglu stated.
In addition to these diplomatic meetings, Uraloglu also engaged in discussions on various global issues such as the earthquake activity in the Aegean Sea and recent controversial statements made by US President Trump regarding Gaza and the rights of Palestinians.
The earthquake activity in the Aegean Sea, specifically a recent 5.2 magnitude earthquake, continues to impact the region. Meanwhile, Trump’s statements regarding Gaza have sparked debates and concerns within the international community.
