Fatal Collision in Sivas: 1 Dead, 3 Injured in Minibus and Car Crash
A fatal accident occurred between Deliilyas town and Altınyayla district at around 13.30. The tragic incident involved a passenger minibus and a car colliding head-on. The minibus, with plate number 58 HK 021 and driven by Esat Çakır, was en route from Sivas to Altınyayla district. It collided with a car, with plate number 50 ET 837, driven by Rahmi Çelik coming from the opposite direction.
Following the accident, emergency health and police teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. Unfortunately, car driver Rahmi Çelik sustained injuries and was rushed to Altınyayla State Hospital, where despite all efforts, he could not be saved.
Among the injured were minibus driver Şuranur Mermer and Ferdane Çelik, who was a passenger in the car. They received initial medical treatment at the scene before being transferred to Altınyayla State Hospital. Ferdane Çelik, whose condition was critical, was later airlifted to Sivas Numune Hospital for further treatment.
In the aftermath of the accident, traffic in the area was temporarily controlled to manage the situation. An investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the tragic collision. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time.
