Fatal Explosion at Navoiyazot: One Fatality, Eleven Injured
An explosion and subsequent fire at the Navoiyazot JSC in Navoiy city on March 11 resulted in one fatality and eleven injuries. The incident, which occurred in the laboratory of the 25th workshop at the plant, was caused by the ignition of a gas-air mixture. Emergency services responded quickly, with ten fire and rescue units containing the blaze within 40 minutes.
Teams from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Security Service, and the prosecutor’s office are currently on-site, conducting an investigation into the cause of the explosion. Medical teams are also providing assistance to the injured individuals.
