Fatal Mine Explosion Leaves 1 Dead and 1 Injured with Structural Damage
Deadly Explosion in Palu Mine Claims One Worker’s Life
A mine in the Kayaönü village of Palu was rocked by an explosion whose cause remains unknown. The explosion left a dent in the mine and trapped two workers under the rubble. Rescue teams were immediately alerted and rushed to the scene.
Sadly, one of the workers, Remzi Tahtacı, was found dead when the rescue teams removed him from the debris. The injured worker was rushed to the hospital by ambulance for treatment.
Authorities have since taken Tahtacı’s lifeless body to the Morgue at Fırat University Hospital for examination. The investigation into the incident is ongoing to determine the cause of the fatal explosion.
