Fatal pedestrian-vehicle collision on ring road
A tragic incident occurred at the Ali Haydar Akın Viaduct on the Bursa Ring Road, where a pedestrian was hit by a car under the control of the driver FY. The victim, identified as Mustafa Altunkaynar, was attempting to cross the road when the collision occurred.
Other drivers in the area quickly alerted authorities, leading to the dispatch of medical and police teams to the scene. Unfortunately, upon arriving, the 112 Emergency Health teams confirmed that Altunkaynar had succumbed to his injuries.
Following an examination by the prosecutor at the scene, Altunkaynar’s body was transferred to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for further investigation. Meanwhile, the driver FY was detained by the police for questioning.
