Woman Found Dead from Chicken Poisoning
Cennet Özveren, who had recently divorced her husband Ümit Yeşil, was tragically found dead in her bed. Özveren’s death raised suspicions after Yeşil mentioned to the police that they had eaten fried chicken the day before and had been poisoned. They were subsequently hospitalized for treatment.
The woman’s body was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy. The results, released yesterday, revealed that Özveren had died from chicken poisoning.
In response to the autopsy report, police detained the manager, S.D., of the shop where Özveren and Yeşil had purchased the chicken. Following procedures, S.D. was taken to the courthouse and subsequently arrested.
