Fatal Stabbing Incident in Dangara District: Investigation Underway
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior Affairs (MIA), Shokhrukh Giyasov, announced on his Telegram channel that a fatal incident occurred in the Dangara district. The incident took place on June 21 at 21:00, when a citizen identified as O.Z., born in 1998 in the city of Kokand, was sitting with friends at a teahouse called “Morocash”.
According to reports from the regional Department of Interior Affairs (DIA), to which Giyasov belongs, Ulugbek Jurayev, the son of Jurayev Ulugbek and also from Kokand, arrived at the teahouse accompanied by his friends. They invited citizen O.Z., leading to a dispute between the parties.
Tragically, during the altercation, Ulugbek Jurayev attacked O.Z. with a sharp object, inflicting a fatal injury to his right chest. The victim succumbed to the injuries on the spot.
The Kokand city emergency center confirmed that O.Z. had already passed away upon his arrival at the hospital. Medical reports indicated that he had suffered stab wounds that penetrated the front of his right chest.
An investigative team, led by the district prosecutor and comprising experts, examined the scene of the incident and collected physical evidence, as stated in the regional prosecutor’s office statement.
In response to the situation, the Dangara district prosecutor’s office has initiated a criminal case under Article 97-1 (Deliberate murder) of the Criminal Code. The regional prosecutor’s office is currently handling the investigation.
The son of Jurayev Ulugbek, who is suspected in the death of the 25-year-old victim, is currently wanted. The regional DIA has issued a message, urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of Jurayev Ulugbek’s son or who has been affected by his illegal actions to immediately contact the nearest internal affairs bodies or dial the emergency number “102”. The identity of informants will be kept confidential, assured the Regional DIA.
The investigation into this tragic incident is ongoing, and authorities are working diligently to bring the suspect to justice.
