
Female athlete punished for altercation with steward on Dubai-Tashkent flight

A 36-year-old passenger caused a disturbance on a flight from Dubai to Tashkent, threatening to break the steward’s jaw. The incident occurred on June 13 when the passenger, identified as B.S., from the Syrdarya region but now residing in the capital, got into a conflict with the steward and began insulting him with obscene language.
B.S., who is reportedly an athlete, went as far as threatening to physically harm the steward during the flight. Upon landing at Tashkent airport, the case was handed over to the Sergeli district criminal court for further investigation.
On June 20, the court concluded that B.S. was guilty of petty hooliganism under Article 183 of the Administrative Responsibility Code of Uzbekistan. As a result, she was fined 4 BCAs for her behavior on the flight. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining civility and respect while traveling.
