
Fenerbahçe’s Penalty Reduced by TFF Arbitration Board – Late Breaking Sports Update

The Turkish Football Federation Arbitration Board has made public the decisions reached at its meeting on April 26, 2024, after examining the cases on its agenda.
One of the key decisions involved Fenerbahçe Futbol A.Ş.’s objection to the previous decision made by the PFDK. The board determined that Fenerbahçe Futbol A.Ş. would be subject to penalties under the Football Competition Instructions for abandoning a match that had already started. The decision to penalize the club with a defeat by default (3-0) was upheld unanimously. Additionally, a fine of 4,000,000.00 TL was imposed on the club for unsportsmanlike behavior.
In another case, Fenerbahçe Futbol A.Ş. was fined 500,000.00 TL for the ninth instance of unruly behavior by their fans during a match as the guest club. The decision to block the electronic ticket cards of spectators who engaged in inappropriate chanting was also upheld unanimously.
These decisions were made after careful consideration of the evidence and legal framework surrounding the cases. The board’s decisions aim to uphold the integrity of football competitions and promote fair play among all clubs involved.
