Fergana and Urgench Airports Lift Weather Restrictions

Flight restrictions due to heavy fog have been lifted at two out of three affected airports in Uzbekistan, the Uzbekistan Airports’ press service announced. However, delays and diversions were still being experienced at the remaining airport.

One flight from Saint Petersburg to Urgench (HY-9638) had to be diverted to Bukhara due to poor visibility. Additionally, flights on the Tashkent–Urgench–Tashkent route (HY-51/52) were delayed, with a rescheduled departure time of 12:00 for the Tashkent to Urgench leg and a return flight scheduled for 14:15. Fortunately, Urgench Airport is now back to operating normally.

In Fergana, incoming flights were temporarily restricted due to unfavorable weather conditions, causing Silk Avia’s Tashkent–Fergana flight (US-401) to be postponed to 11:20. The situation at Fergana Airport has since improved, and regular operations have resumed.

However, flight restrictions are still in place at Nukus Airport, with Uzbekistan Airways’ Tashkent–Nukus flight (HY-11) delayed until 11:30 local time.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety and convenience of passengers as they navigate through the impact of the heavy fog on travel plans.
