Festive Holiday Markets Opened for Christmas and New Year
Kyrenia Municipality Hosts Christmas and New Year Market Event
Kyrenia Municipality recently organized a Christmas and New Year Market event in the city center, featuring various activities and entertainment. The event included a Tango Argentino dance show, as well as an appearance by Santa Claus, who distributed gifts to children. Attendees also enjoyed musical performances by the Niyal Öztürk Trio.
Mayor of Kyrenia, Murat Şenkul, highlighted the city’s diverse and multicultural population, emphasizing the importance of organizing events that cater to the different needs, traditions, and cultures of its residents. He also mentioned that the municipality plans to host various events throughout the month of December, as well as throughout the year.
In light of the holiday season, Kyrenia Municipality has announced that it will be organizing additional Christmas and New Year Market events on December 23rd and 24th, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, at Ramadan Cemil Square.
Meanwhile, in Famagusta, the Ancient Famagusta Foundation and Kaleiçi Mardo collaborated to host a new year market in Namık Kemal Square. The market featured a wide range of food, beverages, souvenirs, and handmade crafts, drawing a strong turnout from local citizens who turned out to enjoy the festivities and sunny weather.
These events serve as vibrant celebrations of the holiday season and offer an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to come together and enjoy the festivities.
