FIFA Extends Partnership with Qatar Airways until 2030
FIFA has announced the extension of its partnership with Qatar’s national airline, Qatar Airways, until 2030. The collaboration, which began in 2017, will encompass coverage of various football competitions, including the 2026 and 2030 FIFA Men’s World Cups, the 2027 Women’s World Cup, and all junior men’s and women’s tournaments.
In addition to the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Qatar Airways will offer exclusive travel packages that include match tickets, flights, and accommodation for fans. FIFA President Gianni Infantino expressed his pride in the renewed partnership, highlighting the success it has brought to both FIFA and Qatar Airways.
The 2030 FIFA World Cup is expected to involve extensive long-distance travel for fans, with games scheduled to take place in six countries across three continents. During the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Qatar Airways operated approximately 14,000 flights to accommodate the influx of football enthusiasts.
As part of the extended partnership, Qatar Airways will continue to support FIFA’s mission of promoting football and facilitating global participation in the sport. The renewal of the agreement reflects the commitment of both FIFA and Qatar Airways to enhancing the football experience for fans around the world.
