The ceremony was attended by Serkan Topkaya’s family, including his wife, children, parents, and siblings, as well as high-ranking officials such as İzmir Governor Süleyman Elban, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay, and Orman Orman.

During the ceremony, Governor Elban praised Serkan Topkaya’s dedication and bravery, highlighting how he selflessly responded to the call for duty without hesitation. Despite the risks and challenges, Topkaya remained committed to his duty until the very end. Governor Elban expressed his condolences to Topkaya’s family and colleagues, emphasizing the importance of honoring his sacrifice.

Deputy General Director of Forestry, İbrahim Yüzer, also extended his condolences to Topkaya’s family and assured them of the organization’s support. He emphasized that Topkaya’s family is now entrusted to them, and they will provide assistance and care in all aspects.

Following the speeches, prayers were offered for Serkan Topkaya, and the Turkish flag was presented to his son. Topkaya’s body was then escorted to Kemalpaşa Rabia Hatun Mosque for a prayer service, after which he was laid to rest in Kemalpaşa Garden of Eden Cemetery.
