Finland Retains Title as World’s Happiest Country, Kyrgyzstan Ranks 75th

According to a joint study by the Wellbeing Research Centre at Oxford University and the Gallup Institute, Finland has been ranked as the world’s happiest country for the eighth successive year. The top three happiest countries are Finland, Denmark, and Iceland.

In terms of rankings, Russia moved up from 72nd place to the 66th place. Meanwhile, Germany, Great Britain, and the United States hold the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th positions, respectively. Ukraine is placed in 111th place in the ranking.

Kyrgyzstan is currently ranked 75th, Uzbekistan in 53rd place, Kazakhstan in 43rd place, and Tajikistan in the 90th place. The Kyrgyz Republic held the 64th place in 2022.

The United States recorded its worst result in the history of the study this year, dating back to 2012. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Afghanistan was recognized as the unhappiest country.

It is interesting to see how different countries fare in terms of happiness levels, with Finland consistently maintaining its position at the top.
