First Hajj Pilgrims of 2024 Season Depart from Tashkent to Medina: A Journey in Photos
The first flight of Uzbekistan Airways carries 240 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia
On May 23 at 01:40, the first flight of Uzbekistan Airways took off from Tashkent to Medina with 240 pilgrims on board, as reported by the press service of Uzbekistan Airports.
During the period from May 23 to June 7, flights from 10 cities of Uzbekistan will be operated to Medina to facilitate the pilgrimage for the citizens of the country.
The majority of pilgrims will depart from Tashkent, with a total of 24 flights scheduled to carry 5,830 passengers. Additionally, there will be 14 flights from Namangan, 6 from Fergana, 4 from Samarkand, and 3 each from Bukhara, Karshi, and Termez. Urgench, Navoi, and Nukus will also have flights departing for Medina, making a total of 15,130 pilgrims from Uzbekistan performing the hajj this year.
The journey to Saudi Arabia for the pilgrimage is considered a significant and sacred event for Muslims, and Uzbekistan Airways is ensuring the safe and comfortable travel of the pilgrims to fulfill their religious duties.
