
First Residential Quarter in Tugh Village Gets Foundation Stone Laid

President Aliyev and First Lady Attend Groundbreaking Ceremony in Khojavand District
On May 5th, the foundation stone for the first residential quarter in the village of Tugh in the Khojavand district was laid. The ceremony was attended by President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
During their visit, the President and First Lady were briefed on the project, which will cover a total area of nearly 99 hectares. The first phase will restore 24 historical homes and construct 95 new houses, providing housing for 1089 residents.
In addition to housing, the quarter will feature a 360-seat school, a 50-seat kindergarten, shopping centers, a mosque, church, medical point, and pharmacy.
President Aliyev laid the foundation stone for the first residential quarter in Tugh village, signaling the beginning of construction.
The project is part of Azerbaijan’s ongoing efforts to invest in its regions and improve the standard of living for its citizens.
