A Fishing boat sank in Dikili, Izmir: 3 dead, 2 missing
A tragic incident occurred off the coast of Salihleraltı in Dikili district where a fishing boat sank for unknown reasons. The boat, which was reportedly carrying 10 people, had 8 individuals found and 2 still missing. Regrettably, 3 of the 8 people found have passed away, leaving the search and rescue teams to continue their efforts to find the remaining 2 missing individuals.
The names of the individuals who set out to sea to fish on the boat are Oğuz İrgit, İsmet Akdağ, Orhan Pancar, Alican Ateş, Arda Kuzu, Mehmet Kurunaz, İbrahim Erdem, Muhammet Kulak, Gökhan Çakır and Medine Karaduman.
On a somber note, it has been confirmed that Oğuz İrgit, İsmet Akdağ and Orhan Pancar have lost their lives in the incident, while the search efforts are focused on finding Medine Karaduman and Gökhan Çakır. The Coast Guard Command teams have been actively engaged in search and rescue operations, using 3 boats and 1 helicopter.
