Flight service between Tashkent and Mumbai resumes

Flights to Mumbai by Uzbekistan Airways expected to resume in April
Uzbekistan Airways held a grand presentation ceremony in the Indian state of Maharashtra to announce the restoration of the Tashkent-Mumbai-Tashkent air service and to showcase the attractive tourism destinations of the country. The event was attended by approximately 100 leading tourism organizations, agencies, and media representatives from Maharashtra, including its administrative center, Mumbai.
During the presentation, it was revealed that Uzbekistan Airways is expanding its flight network to foreign countries, including India. With the resumption of flights to Mumbai in April, the number of weekly flights to Indian cities will increase to eight times. The country’s national carrier also plans to continually increase the frequency of flights to India in the future.
The air connection between Tashkent and Mumbai will open up new tourism routes for travelers, such as skiing, pilgrimage, eco-tourism, hosting wedding ceremonies, and providing filming locations for filmmakers. This will benefit the people of Maharashtra, home to approximately 120 million residents, as well as neighboring regions.
The resumption of flights to Mumbai by Uzbekistan Airways is expected to boost tourism and strengthen the ties between Uzbekistan and India. Travelers can look forward to exploring the rich cultural heritage and diverse landscapes of both countries through this convenient air route.
