FM Saidov meets with AIIB President Jin Liqun
The Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, recently met with the President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Jin Liqun, in Beijing on November 21. The two parties had a productive meeting at the bank’s headquarters, where they discussed the current state of bilateral relations and the prospects for their further development.
Saidov expressed his appreciation for the bank’s commitment to supporting the reforms taking place in Uzbekistan and noted that there are opportunities to increase the number of joint projects with the bank in the future.
This meeting comes after a previous discussion between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Jin Liqun during the former’s state visit to the People’s Republic of China on May 19. The two presidents met in the city of Xi’an to discuss the implementation of several joint projects.
