FM Saidov’s Meeting with Azerbaijani President
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov on July 5. During the meeting, Saidov extended his congratulations to President Aliyev on the successful chairmanship of Azerbaijan in the Non-Aligned Movement.
President Aliyev expressed his appreciation for the school construction project in Azerbaijan by Uzbekistan and mentioned that a visit from Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Uzbekistan, to Baku is expected in the near future.
Both parties emphasized the strengthening of relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement, the Organization of Turkic States, and other international structures. They also discussed various other areas of mutual interest.
