Football player Emre Sağlık caught using phone during match claims referee failed to stop game
Denizlispor Player Emre Health Finds and Returns Lost Phone During Match
During a recent match at the Denizli Atatürk Stadium, 26-year-old right-back player Emre Health of Denizlispor found a mobile phone on the ground of the green field and picked it up, displaying an act of good sportsmanship.
The unusual moment was captured by a fan in the stands and shared on social media, where it quickly caught the attention of football fans around the world.
Speaking about the incident, Emre Health stated, “During the match, I noticed a phone on the ground and picked it up. While I was about to put the phone aside, the opposing team’s attack came in my position. I had to run with the phone in my hand. Then I pointed to the referee, but he did not stop the match. The phone was in my hand.”
He went on to explain that at the end of the match, he asked his opponent teammate about the phone, who then threw the ball out. It turned out that the phone had been dropped by a ball boy during halftime, and it had ended up in Emre’s possession by chance.
Emre Health emphasized that his main intention was to prevent anything from happening to the phone, as it was an old phone that might break or get damaged if left on the field. “I had it in my hand in case something happened,” he added.
This act of honesty and sportsmanship has garnered praise from football fans and the sports community, showcasing Emre Health as a role model on and off the field.
