Ankara University and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sign Cooperation Protocol for Education and Training Programs

Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have come together to sign a cooperation protocol aimed at providing education and training programs for ministry personnel.

The agreement was formalized at a ceremony held at the TRNC Ankara Embassy, with TRNC Ankara Ambassador İsmet Korukoğlu and Ankara University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar signing the protocol.

Ambassador Korukoğlu expressed his pleasure at collaborating with Ankara University, highlighting the significance of joining forces with one of Turkey’s esteemed institutions. Meanwhile, Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar emphasized that the education provided by the university will equip professionals with a stronger knowledge base, ultimately contributing to the development of the TRNC.

Under the signed protocol, in-service training programs will be organized, offering short-term courses in various fields such as human rights, international law, energy, and international institutions. Expert academics from the Faculty of Political Sciences will conduct these programs, tailored to meet the educational needs of ministry personnel. Furthermore, officers will have the opportunity to enroll in two master’s and one doctoral programs offered by Ankara University.

The training programs developed within the framework of the cooperation protocol will focus on priority areas identified by the ministry, with input from both institutions. This collaboration is envisioned to enhance the expertise and skills of ministry personnel, ultimately contributing to the advancement of the TRNC.
