In a significant move against illegal gambling, authorities have successfully dismantled an online casino believed to be operated by foreign nationals. The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the operation, which occurred in Bishkek.
The illicit scheme posed as an Internet platform named "Poker" and was being run from a rented private residence. Following detailed investigative efforts, officers from the Main Criminal Investigation Department apprehended a group of foreigners involved in the organization’s operations, including the collection of bets.
During the law enforcement raid, a range of equipment was confiscated. This included a server, telecommunications devices such as system units, satellite antennas, power supplies, Wi-Fi routers, and an array of personal devices like 23 mobile phones, laptops, and tablets.
Authorities are currently engaged in further investigative actions to assess the extent of the financial damage caused to citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic by this illegal enterprise.
This operation underscores the commitment of the local authorities to combat illegal gambling and protect the public from exploitative practices.
