Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan Attends Meeting in Cairo
According to sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan attended a meeting in Egypt’s capital Cairo, as well as the Arab League Gaza Temas Group Meeting.
During the meeting, Minister Fidan highlighted the ongoing issues in Gaza, including genocide, forced displacement, and apartheid. He condemned the Israeli air strikes on March 18 and emphasized that Israel’s expansionist policies are causing harm to the region.
Furthermore, Minister Fidan called for immediate humanitarian aid to be delivered to the affected areas and urged for a permanent ceasefire. He suggested utilizing platforms such as the United Nations to address these urgent matters.
Minister Fidan also praised Egypt’s Gaza plan, which has the support of all OIC countries. He stated that moving forward based on this plan could provide a constructive framework for resolving the conflict.
