Former Head of Cadastre State Institution Arrested for Fraudulent Actions
On November 22, 2023, the former head of the Cadastre state institution was detained for fraudulent actions using his official position, as reported by the press center of the SCNS. It was revealed that in March 2023, in collaboration with officials of the state administration of Alamedin district, he offered a citizen the opportunity to purchase a 3-hectare plot of land in Orto-Sai village, which is on the state’s balance, for $1,200,000.
Subsequently, in order to document and record the criminal activity, the man was caught red-handed and taken to the temporary detention center of the SCNS on November 20. This occurred when he was returning $10,000 of the previously handed over $150,000 in one of the Bishkek cafes. An investigation is currently underway.
