Former Government Officials Lose Security Permits after Trump’s Order
US President Donald Trump has recently made a significant decision regarding the security clearances of former government officials. In an official announcement, Trump stated that numerous individuals have had their security clearances revoked.
Trump emphasized the importance of national security and called upon relevant institutions to take immediate action to cancel the security clearances of those individuals listed. He asserted that allowing access to sensitive documents is no longer in the country’s best interest.
Among the list of former officials whose security clearances have been revoked are former US Vice President Kamala Harris, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Republican House of Representatives Liz Cheney, and even members of former President Joe Biden’s family.

In a notable move, Trump also highlighted the cancellation of Biden’s security clearance back in February, following Biden’s assumption of office in 2021. Additionally, US National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard confirmed on March 11 that former Secretary of State Antony Blinken, former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, and former Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco had their security clearances revoked.
