A former meat processing plant and 4 hectares of land worth more than 114 million soms have been returned to the state in Naryn. The press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported that in 1999 and 2000, the immovable objects of the Naryn meat processing plant were transferred by a citizen into private ownership at underestimated prices, violating the country’s legislation. In 2002, the Naryn City Department secured for him the right to own the meat processing plant’s land plot.
The SCNS stated that local authorities are now planning to implement projects for the construction of two industrial enterprises (factories) on this territory. This development is expected to create jobs for residents of Naryn and nearby settlements, and also have a positive impact on the growth of financial inflows to the budget of the region.
This initiative aims to not only reclaim assets that rightfully belong to the state, but also to utilize the land for the benefit of the local community. The return of the meat processing plant and land to government ownership will enable economic development and contribute to the overall prosperity of the region.
