Former Min-Kush Orgtekhnika Plant Returns Real Estate and Inventory Items to State

Bishkek – On February 12, 2025, the press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported that the real estate and inventory items of the former Min-Kush Orgtekhnika plant, now Orgtekhnika OJSC, have been returned to the state.

The state has received back the tool shop with an adjacent territory of 4.3 hectares, approximately 20 machine tools including metal-cutting, turning, milling, grinding tools, the plant territory of 4.44 hectares, a former gas station of 0.19 hectares, the former 7th workshop of 0.0346 hectares, a banquet hall with adjacent territory, 4 garages, and a library. In total, the returned territories cover an area of 11 hectares.

Established in 1970-1971 as the first major industrial enterprise in Naryn region, the Min-Kush Orgtekhnika plant was a significant producer of consumer goods such as fountain pens, multi-colored felt-tip pens, and refills for fountain pens.

The state-owned plant Orgtekhnika was part of the PESAC program in 1994, which aimed at reforming, restructuring, and privatizing state-owned enterprises. In 1995, it was reorganized into an open joint-stock company (OJSC).

Efforts are ongoing to reclaim the remaining territories, including the now defunct Druzhba children’s camp, and other properties of Orgtekhnika OJSC.
