Construction of Mortgage Houses to Begin on Land Returned to State in Kemin District

Bishkek – 10:32, 22 August 2024 – The 24.kg news agency reports that mortgage houses will be built on land returned to the state in Kemin district of Chui region. According to the spokesman for the President, Askat Alagozov, the land will be transferred to the state mortgage company following a decision made by the head of state.

The residential buildings are planned to have 9 floors and the area will be named Kemin City. It is expected that more than 100,000 families will receive housing there. Construction is set to begin in March-April 2025.

This initiative follows the State Committee for National Security’s return of 353.3 hectares of industrial land in Kemin district to state ownership. The land had been illegally privatized by former deputy of the Parliament, Nurlan Makeyev.

This project aims to address the housing needs of families in the region and provide a solution for those in need of affordable housing. Stay tuned for updates on this development as construction progresses in the coming years.
