Four Plots of Land in Batken Region Successfully Returned to the State

Bishkek – 24.kg news agency reported on March 22, 2025, that four plots of land totaling 15.9 hectares in Zhany-Zher village in Batken district have been voluntarily returned to the state. The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) confirmed that these plots were initially transferred to private ownership in violation of the law back in 2020.

According to the security services, the owners of the land plots voluntarily returned them to the Tort-Gul aiyl okmotu of Batken district. This decision comes after it was discovered that the ownership of the plots had been unlawfully acquired.

The return of the land to the state highlights the importance of adhering to legal procedures when it comes to land ownership in Kyrgyzstan. It also serves as a reminder that the authorities are actively monitoring and enforcing compliance with land ownership laws in the country.

The SCNS continues to work towards ensuring that land rights are protected and that any violations are addressed promptly. The voluntary return of these plots sets a positive example for upholding the rule of law in Kyrgyzstan’s land management system.
