According to the Official Gazette, Mehmet Aslan was dismissed from his position as the Mersin Provincial Police Chief. Kamil Karabörk, who previously served as the Kayseri Provincial Police Chief, has now been appointed to the Mersin Provincial Police Department in place of Aslan. Atanur Aydın, the former Van Provincial Police Chief, has been appointed to the Kayseri Provincial Police Department. Murat Mutlu will now take over as the Van Provincial Police Chief. Additionally, İbrahim Kaba has been appointed as the new Batman Provincial Police Chief.

This reshuffling of police chiefs comes as part of broader changes within the public sector in Turkey.
