Tragic Military Vehicle Accident Claims Lives of 4 Soldiers in Ovacık, Turkey
Four soldiers were martyred in a tragic vehicle accident in Tunceli, as announced by Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya. The incident occurred when an armored vehicle overturned during duty in the Ovacık district, resulting in the loss of Gendarmerie Specialist Sergeants Ömer Eroğlu, Mehmet Aykanat, Orhan Burak Büyükçaylı, and Gendarmerie Specialist Corporal Doğan Kızılateş. Gendarmerie Non-Commissioned Officer Sergeant Muhammet Koyuncu was also injured in the accident.
Minister Yerlikaya expressed his condolences on social media, asking for God’s mercy on the martyrs and offering support to their families, the Gendarmerie Organization, and the nation. He also wished a speedy recovery to the injured hero, highlighting the sacrifice made by those serving their country.

In Isparta, the community came together to mourn the loss of Martyr Gendarmerie Specialist Sergeant Orhan Burak Büyükçaylı, showing solidarity and respect for his service and sacrifice. The Turkish flags flew at half-mast as a sign of honor and remembrance for the fallen soldier.
