France Condemns Unacceptable Attacks on Kinşasa Embassy

French Foreign Minister J. Barrot responded to the recent attack on the Embassy of Kinşasa, condemning the violence and stating that the safety of French employees and citizens is of utmost importance.
Demonstrators in Kinşasa gathered to protest against the M23 movement, accusing Rwanda of supporting the rebels. These protests led to a fire breaking out at the French Embassy in the city, further escalating tensions in the region.
The conflict in the KDC region has resulted in over 400,000 people being displaced due to violent clashes between M23 and security forces. The rebels have taken control of various villages and towns, including the siege of Goma, causing disruption to basic services for its residents.
Accusations have been made against Rwanda for supporting M23, leading to strained diplomatic relations between the two countries. The situation has escalated to the point where KDC has recalled all its diplomats from Rwanda and severed all ties with the neighboring country.
The M23, known as the Congo Revolutionary Army, has caused diplomatic tensions and unrest in the region. With ties between KDC and Rwanda severed, efforts to resolve the conflict and restore peace in the area remain a top priority.
