Friends of Uzbekistan Club Members convene in Warsaw

The event was organized in collaboration with the Warsaw University of Economics.

The Action Diplomacy project aims to support talented and active students of Polish universities in the fields of diplomacy, business, and geopolitics. It is one of the most renowned student projects related to diplomacy and foreign policy in Poland. Participants are selected by the Society for International Relations of the Warsaw School of Economics, with over 200 students and 40 embassies in Warsaw taking part in the selection process each year.

Supported by various organizations including the Polish Institute of Diplomacy, the European Parliament, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the project provides practical experience and networking opportunities for students interested in pursuing careers in diplomacy.

During the meeting, the focus was on showcasing the trade, economic, investment, and tourism potential of Uzbekistan, as well as discussing the Uzbekistan 2030 strategy and ongoing reforms in the country. The strengthening atmosphere of good neighborliness and trust in Central Asia, as well as the deepening integration efforts in the region, were also highlighted.

Participants expressed optimism about the impact of the direct flights between Warsaw and Tashkent on enhancing economic and tourism ties between Uzbekistan and Poland. The event concluded with the distribution of brochures promoting travel to Uzbekistan and a tasting of traditional Uzbek cuisine.

Students shared their positive experiences from the meeting, with one student expressing interest in contributing to the further development of relations with Uzbekistan in their future career. Another student commended the event’s organization and found the information about Uzbekistan’s economic and tourism potential to be enlightening.

Overall, the meeting at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Warsaw provided students with valuable insights into the country’s culture, economic opportunities, and diplomatic efforts, fostering closer ties between Uzbekistan and Poland.
