Fugitive Convict Wanted for 10 Years in Gaziantep Finally Caught – Latest News in Turkey
The Gaziantep Provincial Gendarmerie Command recently carried out a successful operation as part of the nationwide “Circle” operations, according to a statement released by the Governorship. The operation was conducted under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.
During the operation, the Gendarmerie teams were able to locate and apprehend a fugitive identified as S.K., who had been evading authorities for a decade. S.K. was found to have a 15-year prison sentence for “11 separate crimes”. The fugitive was discovered hiding at an address in the Şahinbey district.
Gendarmerie Detectives (JASAT) coordinated and executed the operation that led to the arrest of the convict. Following the completion of necessary procedures at the gendarmerie, the fugitive was swiftly transferred to prison to serve his sentence.
This successful operation highlights the dedication and effectiveness of law enforcement agencies in pursuing and apprehending individuals who have been evading justice.
