Gardiyanoğlu Celebrates Labor Day with Employees at Investment-Focused Workplaces
Minister of Labor and Social Security Sadık Gardiyanoğlu celebrated May 1 Labor and Solidarity Day by visiting workplaces that prioritize social security investments. During his visits, the Minister was accompanied by ministry bureaucrats and inspectors from the Social Insurance Department and Provident Fund.
One of the key points emphasized by Minister Gardiyanoğlu was the importance of paying employees overtime at a rate of two to one for those working on May 1. He urged all workplaces to fulfill their legal obligations in this regard.
In order to ensure compliance with labor laws, inspectors from the Social Security and Provident Fund Department will be conducting inspections at workplaces in six districts throughout the day. Additionally, workers who are scheduled to work on May 1 will have their shifts verified by Department inspectors after June 20. Any violations of the law will result in appropriate sanctions being applied.
Minister Gardiyanoğlu took the opportunity to congratulate all workers on May 1 Labor Day, recognizing their contributions to the workforce. It is clear that the Ministry is taking proactive steps to protect the rights and well-being of employees, particularly on this important day of solidarity and recognition.
