Minister of Labor and Social Security Sadık Gardiyanoğlu Meets with Social Democratic Movement Representatives
Minister of Labor and Social Security Sadık Gardiyanoğlu recently held a meeting with representatives of the Social Democratic Movement, chaired by Alper Özsakınç. The meeting was deemed successful by both parties, with Social Democratic Movement President Alper Ozsakinc praising Minister Gardiyanoglu for his exemplary work.
During the meeting, Minister Gardiyanoğlu shared information about the various projects that have been implemented under his leadership. One notable achievement mentioned was the opening of the House of Barrier-Free Life House in Demirhan, which had been a long-standing project. Additionally, modernization efforts were made at the Kalkanlı Life House, while rehabilitation centers were established in Kyrenia, Famagusta, and Güneşköy for individuals over the age of 18.
Looking ahead, plans were discussed for the establishment of a nursing home for the elderly in Yenierenköy and İskele regions, as well as a rehabilitation center for the disabled. Turkish Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş and Prime Minister Ünal Ünal Üsel were present to witness the collaboration with Fenercioğlu Group, which aims to address significant deficiencies in care facilities.
Minister Gardiyanoğlu also highlighted the importance of updating laws related to nursing homes, private care homes, and rehabilitation centers. He noted that the Ministry has been working diligently to ensure that these facilities adhere to current regulations and standards, with recent legislative changes receiving approval from the Council of Ministers.
Overall, the meeting between Minister Gardiyanoğlu and the Social Democratic Movement representatives showcased a shared commitment to improving social services and support for vulnerable populations in the country.
