Georgia and Armenia Strengthen Ties Amid Regional Challenges
Yerevan, Armenia – In a significant diplomatic engagement, Georgian President Mikhail Kavelashvili met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during an official visit to Yerevan. The meeting, held at the Armenian Government House, emphasized the importance of regional cooperation and peace initiatives within the South Caucasus.

President Kavelashvili characterized the declaration issued on March 13, 2025, concerning the conclusion of peace agreement negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as a historical milestone towards establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus. The two leaders also touched upon a recent trilateral meeting held in Tbilisi, where the foreign ministries of Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan convened. Kavelashvili underscored the importance of ongoing cooperation in this framework as crucial for the region’s well-being.
