
German President to Bolster Relations with Kazakhstan during Official Visit

Germany’s President Frank-Walter Steinmeier will be visiting Kazakhstan on a state visit from June 19th to 21st. The visit comes at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and aims to strengthen the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Germany.
During the visit, the two leaders will focus on expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two countries. They will also discuss collaboration in the transport, logistics, and energy sectors, as well as deepening humanitarian ties.
Notably, President Steinmeier will be the first European leader to visit the Mangystau Region of Kazakhstan. This visit aims to explore the economic potential of the region and participate in the opening ceremony of the Kazakh-German Institute of Engineering.
Additionally, President Steinmeier will attend the launch ceremony of a green hydrogen production plant owned by the Swedish-German company Svevind. He will also speak at the Kazakh and German Rector’s forum.
To further promote business ties between Kazakhstan and Germany, a Kazakh-German business forum will be held, which both leaders will attend.
This visit highlights the importance of the Kazakh-German strategic partnership and demonstrates the commitment of both countries to enhance cooperation in various sectors.
