Giant 28-Kilogram Carp Shocks Onlookers – Latest News from Turkey
Two friends camping in Bilecik Pelitözü Gölpark had an unforgettable experience when they caught a giant scaly carp weighing 28 kilos. Kerim Çelikbilek and Nedret Öztürk woke up to the sound of bells on their fishing rods and after a long effort, they were able to pull the massive fish to the shore.
The duo spent a week camping near the pond, eagerly waiting for the moment when they would catch a large carp. When the alarms on their fishing rods went off, they were filled with excitement and finally reeled in the impressive catch. With the help of other fishermen, they managed to bring the carp to the shore and captured the moment with many souvenir photos before releasing it back into the Pelitözü Pond.
Kerim Çelikbilek shared his excitement about the experience, stating that they were aware of the presence of larger carps in the pond. He explained, “My friend Nedret and I stayed in the pond day and night for a week, hoping to catch a big fish. When we finally caught the giant scaly carp, it was an incredible feeling. All the waiting and effort paid off in the end.”
Those who witnessed the impressive catch could not hide their surprise at the size of the carp. The two friends will surely cherish this memory of their fishing adventure in Bilecik for years to come.
