Global Leaders Convene at AIF 2025 to Discuss Security, Energy, and Economy
Astana to Host Astana International Forum in May 2025
The capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, is gearing up to host the Astana International Forum (AIF2025) from May 29-30. This event is set to be the largest business gathering in the region, bringing together global leaders, experts, investors, and business representatives. The Kazakh Ministry of Economy announced this exciting news on April 7.
The forum’s agenda will address some of the most pressing global challenges of our time, with a high-level plenary session and 25 discussion platforms lined up. Over 600 international guests are expected to attend, including notable politicians, heads of international organizations, corporate leaders, investors, and scholars.
Confirmed participants for AIF2025 include dignitaries such as President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Prime Minister Edi Rama of Albania, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković of Croatia, and other prominent figures like Ban Ki-moon and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.
In 2025, AIF will shine a spotlight on three core themes on the global agenda: foreign policy and international security, energy and climate change, and economy and finance. The forum comes at a time of intense global competition for investment and underscores Kazakhstan’s commitment to engagement with the world.
