Two children who went missing in Şırnak have been found safe and sound after a four-day search.
ED (14) and EA (15), residents of Oyalı village in İdil district, left the Quran course they were attending in the town center on October 7. When the children failed to return, the course management informed their families. Once the families reported the situation, the police initiated an operation to locate the missing children.
The Şırnak Governorship confirmed that the children were located due to the efforts of the search teams. The governor’s statement read, “On October 7, the families of EA (15) and ED (14) reported them missing to the İdil District Police Department. Following the operation conducted by our teams, the two children were found safe and sound on October 10.”
Thanks to the prompt action of the authorities and the cooperation of the families, the missing children were reunited with their loved ones after a worrying ordeal.
