Kyrgyzstan Cabinet Chairman Meets with Google Representatives to Discuss Digitalization Efforts

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, recently met with representatives of Google company during a working visit to the United Arab Emirates. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported that the meeting included the presence of the Global Director of Google for Education, Timothy Paolini, and other company representatives.
During the meeting, Kasymaliev highlighted the importance of digitalization as a key priority for the state policy of Kyrgyzstan. He emphasized that cooperation with tech giants like Google opens up new possibilities for the country’s development.
The government of Kyrgyzstan is particularly focused on modernizing the education system and integrating digital technologies into the educational process. Kasymaliev mentioned the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education and Science and Google Ireland Limited in April 2024 as a significant step in this direction.
Google representatives expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in various areas, including digital transformation of the educational system. Discussions during the meeting also covered topics such as job creation in the IT sector, support for startups, and training programs for specialists in digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
Overall, the meeting marks a significant milestone in the collaboration between Kyrgyzstan and Google, paving the way for further advancements in digitalization efforts within the country.
