
Government Cabinet Approves Resettlement Plan for Temir Village Mudflow Victims

Residents of Temir village in the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan, who were affected by mudflows in August 2024, are set to be resettled according to a decision made at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. The Telegram channel of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Gosinfo, reported on the decision aimed at ensuring the safety and improving the living conditions of the village residents.
The resettlement plan includes relocating citizens to safe areas and providing them with necessary assistance and support. This initiative was put in place following an inspection of Temir village by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Akylbek Japarov, on August 25th. During the visit, he assessed the extent of the damage and engaged in discussions with local authorities and the Ministry of Emergency Situations on measures to address the aftermath of the mudflows.
The government’s swift action in response to the natural disaster highlights its commitment to the well-being of its citizens and efforts to mitigate the impact of such events. The residents of Temir village can now look forward to a safer and more secure living environment as they undergo the resettlement process.
