Government tightens restrictions on sale of ethyl alcohol – New regulations announced
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry tightens measures on the sale of ethyl alcohol
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has recently implemented new regulations regarding the sale of ethyl alcohol for medical purposes. This decision comes as a way to ensure the responsible and controlled use of this substance in healthcare and animal health facilities.
According to the new regulations, sellers of ethyl alcohol for medical purposes will now have a limit on the amount they can purchase. They will not be able to acquire new products unless the amount in their stocks falls below 50 thousand liters. This restriction aims to prevent the misuse or overuse of ethyl alcohol in the medical field.
Healthcare providers and animal health organizations will be the only authorized entities to purchase ethyl alcohol for medical use. Other health institutions that require ethyl alcohol for mandatory use will need to request authorization from the tobacco and alcohol department of the ministry.
Furthermore, the usage amounts of ethyl alcohol for medical purposes have been rearranged. Veterinarian offices and polyclinics will be allowed to use 5 liters of ethyl alcohol per month, while animal hospitals will have a limit of 40 liters. Primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare providers will also have specific limits on the amount of ethyl alcohol they can purchase annually.
Health service providers and animal health organizations will be obligated to keep records of the amount and areas of use of ethyl alcohol to ensure transparency and accountability in its usage.
These measures aim to regulate and control the sale and use of ethyl alcohol, ensuring its safe and responsible usage in the medical field. It is important for all relevant parties to comply with these regulations to prevent any potential misuse of this substance.
